My Opinions on Wednesday, March 24th

I've never been into politics, don't like all the lies and basic dishonesty 90% of the time.  But lately it's made me even more glad that I am especially not a republican and have maintained my independent status.   The present group in this administration remind me of watching a group of children in kindergarten when they were told they weren't going to get their own way.  It totally has boggled my mind for years now as to why congress would be so set against health care reform when our country, the best there is, is laughed at by the other countries due to the fact that we have so many citizens without health care, and not by our own doing!  Are the people supporting the idiots that don't want health reform so blind that they can't see the reasoning behind it is they don't want to lose their special interest groups?  Can they not see that doctors don't want it changed because they put more status on the almighty dollar now instead of caring for patients!  If you doubt this, show us the poor doctors will you?  Let me run this scenario by you.  When you only have approximately $100 left for the month after you pay basic bills, and this isn't including food or gas, tell me how we are supposed to pay the insurance companies what they want monthly?  When I lost my job, they told me I could keep my insurance for close to $500 a month.  Well, let's see, if I get rid of my house, electric, phone and pitch a tent, maybe I could almost stretch it.  Even that would be iffy.  I think all of you that have insurance might want to take a look and see how it has increased, really pay attention to what has been taken out of your paycheck, look back a year and see the increases.  Also, you best be praying that your employer can keep paying their half due to the constant increases or guess what?  You will be on the receiving end of paying the full amount and then let's see how you handle that.  So those of you that are trying to stop those of us that don't have insurance and have medical issues and can't be seen, well, frankly shame on you.  What goes around will come around, remember that.  I have a great idea for those of you that don't want everyone to have health care.  Let's take everyone OFF health insurance, make it that none is available to anyone, do away with it, then the playing field is even.  Then when you need to see a doctor or have a hospital visit, let's see how you feel about paying for it all.  Seems like a plan to me.  Or how about this, all of those opposing health care for everyone, their names are put on a national register so when those of us that have no coverage and need medical care, those bills will go to them to pay.  I like it!!

Well, well, listening to the news tonight and I hope the republicans are real happy with themselves because of their stupid remarks they have incited people to violence and if anyone is hurt, I hope they not only arrest the ones that do the violence but hold every one of the congress responsible too.

Why don't people look back to before this past administration.  We had a balanced budget before the last 8 year administration, and during that 8 years this country suffered horribly.  And now you expect the present administration to fix the 8 years of problems in the first year?? For heavens sake, use some common sense here.

Another crazy thing I saw today is a school district in Florida near my area is cutting back on classes trying to meet their budget.  But......someone decided they didn't like a song that was in a music program so they sued the school board even though the school in question took the song out before the performance, and yet they did an out of court settlement for $140,000.00.  Gosh, that sure could have gone to keeping classes, but no, that's using logic and common sense.  The logical thing should have been to inform the parents that didn't like a song with one of our country's logos "in God we trust" that they could have their child sit out that song.  Gee, so hard to come to a logical decision isn't it.  And they wonder why our system is so messed up.

Daily Opinion for Monday December 28, 2009

First of all I'd like to say that I had a wonderful Christmas with my family, and I hope everyone else did also. Regretfully my body decided to get sick with a cold, but thankfully since I quit smoking 3 years ago, I may be sick but I can breath this time. I would also like to take this time to wish everyone a very healthy, happy and safe new year.
I watched 60 Minutes last Sunday and there was one especially interesting segment on it. They were speaking to someone that either had been or still is in one of the armed services that was over in Iraq and Afghanistan. Once we got rid of the guy in Iraq, then our target was that Alquida guy, or however you spell it. Anyway, this particular article really opened up my eyes. Mainly because the thing he said, and there was surveillance tape footage to back him up, was that they had that murderous individual in their sights, but could not kill him because they couldn't get approval to do it. Excuse me???? Mr. Bush, wasn't that our intent for being there was to kill this man?? So because our then commander in chief wouldn't give the OK, he is still lurking out there, threatening our country and killing innocent people where ever he goes.
Well, I think it's time we took our country back. We have been kind for too long. Let's forget the political mumbo jumbo and get down to basics. You don't like our country, don't like what we stand for, don't want to salute our flag, then get them out. Put them on the first plane, boat or whatever and put them back in their own country. I for one am dang tired of allowing these people into our country, then allowing them to get our justices to change our long standing laws, our children can't pray in school, they can't have the word God in certain statements, this is wrong for our American people to continue to put up with this. Let's take our country back people. Everyone here that looks like those people over there that don't like us, bye bye, your gone. Let's stop letting them come to our country. Let's get some politicians up there that will give us our country back!!!

Daily Opinion for Tuesday December 22, 2009

Been sitting and listening to the news the last couple days, listening to the updates on the insurance reform bill. Looks like a bill will get passed, but what is it going to do for the ones of us that don't have and can't afford to add another bill to pay for it? It sounds like maybe the insurance companies will have to start thinking of the insured rather than themselves, that is one good thing. Not very positive it's going to assist all of us in need. Also, I hate politics, but those republicans need to somehow see just how stupid they look and sound in the way they are making parts of it be read word for word just to postpone it, claiming all the things opposite of what the bill was originally supposed to do. It's because of them and the insurance companies which must be big supporters of theirs that the country is in such bad shape regarding insurance. Possibly they won't be getting all their kickbacks if this passes? Let me feel sorry for them. NOT.
Also today I watched a news article about all the politicians that got all those high salaries for years, then did illegal things, put out of their jobs, but guess what, they are being paid pensions!! Isn't that just great, us taxpayers are paying for their illegal actions by paying them yearly pensions. Someone tell us all how did so much corrupt behavior happen in the last 8 years and not get stopped?? Put our country in a horrible mess, people are suffering, and our new president is being criticized for not fixing everything that was done wrong in his first year?? Come on people, open your eyes. I'm frankly very tired of the rich getting richer as the poor get poorer and the politicians sit on their hill with their big homes and cars and whatever else, and say, nope, we aren't going to do things to help you. Let's start voting and electing working folk, people that know what it's like to hurt, to scrape to get bills paid, hope they can put food on the table, then maybe we will get people that will work with the president to fix this country!

Daily Opinion for Thursday December 17, 2009

I'm sitting here listening to the 6:30 news, and, no surprise is the report on the health insurance bill. Nothing is happening, well, nothing for the good of the little man that has nothing and no insurance or no way to pay for it. But this is not anything new now is it? But one of the dumbest things is some of the comments they showed from people commenting about it. Are people so naive that they think our President can pass a bill all by himself? Is he the only one in the administration? Of course not, and if you take the time to listen to what he has been wanting to put in that bill and what the "others" are wanting to put in it, then compare, well, you might actually have your eyes open enough to see that he is asking for what he talked about, but he can't do it by himself. Instead of coming down on the president, why don't you put the blame where it truly belongs, to the rich arrogant people in those house and senate seats that the insurance companies pay to stay on their side. There is nothing wrong with a public option that would help those of us that barely can keep ourselves afloat monthly. Right now my doctors office has refused to refill my prescription for pain pills until I come back in their office. Well, I have no insurance to cover it, they charge $105 just to walk in the door, that's before you even see the doctor. So yes, give me something that will help me. Those of you that can afford your high priced insurance costs, go for it, but let us that can't have some help too.

Daily Opinion for Monday December 14, 2009

Well, another day has gone by and still the same things going on with the health care debacle. Listened to some on the morning news show on Sunday about it, they still are pushing to basically not help those of us that don't and can't afford to pay the ridiculous high monthly fees for insurance. Today on the news I heard one of the current administration's own that now he's thinking of going against his party. For heavens sake people, why must there be sides, this is something the American people need. Work as a team united!!
Wasn't 60 Minutes last night great! That's what I really like about our new president, he tells it like it is, doesn't hide or sidestep like so many of the others. The banks are paying back their tarp funds only so they can go back to doing what they did in the first place that got them in so much trouble. And they still aren't helping the little guy out. Got to love it, right? And come on people, our country didn't get in this miserable condition overnight, it took many many years under the previous adminisatration to get us here, and I think our president is doing a marvelous job with all the bad things he has to try to fix. So give him credit for doing as much as he has in this first year. I don't think we had this many positive efforts in the last 8 years that we have in his first one.
Poor Tiger Woods, they just won't be happy till they totally destroy him, his wife and his poor innocent children. Now they have made some video game, sure didn't take someone much time to jump on that one did it. Such a shame that people can get such a high off destroying anothers life. I still say, get some investigators to get the dirt on those reporters and let's see all their dirty laundry hung out!!
More in the next day or so when the news tickles my opinion bone!

Daily Opinion for Saturday December 12, 2009

I have let my blog go for too long, there were so many things I was attempting to do at one time it got somewhat overwhelming. Not saying that all of them are running totally smooth, but there are improvements. So saying this, I am going to change the tone of my blog somewhat. At times, I will still comment on something I may be creating or doing, but as I have opinions on some of the things happening in our country, I think I will post my thoughts.
Right now one of the most annoying things on my mind is all the hullabaloo over health insurance reform. Just what is so hard for the American public to understand about this? As I lost my job over a year ago now, I have no health insurance. I am also a senior and will be 62 this year. Now with that being said, I am also on disability as my health is deteriorating. The other day on the news I hear them talking about this subject and that the newest thing they put forth is that they would "allow" seniors between 62-64 to "buy" into medicaid early and "all" they would have to pay is $600 and something dollars a month. Well how generous of our politicians!!!!! As I said, I'm on a fixed income, and just the other day I figured out my monthly bills against what I am getting paid, and this is also what I will be getting for my retirement I am told, and not figuring in food or gas, I have a grand total of $58 left in a month. Isn't that great? So tell me, how am I to pay their $600 dollars a month, when I have to dip into what little savings I have just to put food on my table and gas in my car?? But being as most of the politicians are super wealthy people with health insurance, what do they care?
Secondly on my mind has been the newest degradation of a public figure by our wonderful reporters. Why should they care if they destroy someone, their family or children? Tell me why it's OK for them to humiliate a public figure just because they have gone astray??? This is not a crime, it is a personal issue and therefore should be able to remain such. I am not condoning extra marital affairs, but I would be willing to bet that there are a tiny minority that doesn't have some kind of skeleton in their closet. Yes, that means you too, reporters. And I'll also say, if it was me in the public eye that they so viciously attacked, did everything to destroy me and have no concern what they do to innocent children, then they deserve what they get back. So, Mr. person in the public eye, you have the money and means, go find a good detective, get them to investigate those reporters that have no concern for others and dig up some dirt, find out what they have done in their past, why they are divorced, and let's air it all for everyone to see. After all, fair is fair and you are just as protected as they are under freedom of speech. :) Would love to see someone do it.
Well, stay tuned for my next edition of the daily opinion!!
